William R Mitchell

William R. Mitchell (Mitch) has worked as an engineer and seaman who has travelled the world extensively. Most of all, he is well known as a musician-cum-songwriter. Unfortunately, he had to give up this mode of life due to illness. To save himself from going nuts, and to keep the old grey matter from clogging up, he joined a creative writing class where he learned to put his ideas into words. Since then his stories and poems have been published in science-fiction, horror, and fantasy magazines. His acclaimed story ‘Unlikely Messiah’ his fourth publication for the science-fiction magazine Jupiter, in Jan 2010, was described by the editor Ian Redman, as ‘a joy to read’. The story also saw Mitch make the short list for L Ron Hubbard’s Writer of the Future.

The collection Unlikely Messiah and other stories contains a vibrant and eclectic range of page-turner stories, by an author who brings his characters and storylines to life with a deft touch.  You can download Unlikely Messiah and other stories from the Amazon, Kobo, and the Apple iBooks stores anywhere in the world from the 1st July 2014.
